I’m Melinda, a graphic designer who founded Nirvana by numbers in 2023 at the age of 46. The idea started years before (but I didn’t know that yet) when I purchased my first home and I wanted to make it my own. Bland is how you’d describe the walls.
Overwhelmed is how you’d describe me. I’ve always been very creative, so I decided I wanted a mural on my wall — but I wasn’t confident enough to do it myself and I didn’t want to pay someone else to do it. So bland the wall remained.
Fast forward (20 years later, these things take time you know) when my busy brain was in need of a serious break, and I was looking at some paint by numbers kits online. That’s when I had my ah ha moment as they say. Give people a templated artwork that they could paint, then stick on their walls.
